One of the main historic achievements of Christianity in the social sphere was the eradication of the horrible crime of abortion and the abandonment of newborn children, which was tolerated in the pagan world or even morally accepted. Respect for life, in the Catholic vision, derives from its perfect correspondence to the Natural Law, to which is added the awareness that each human being is created to glorify God and, obeying His Commandments, to achieve eternal bliss in Heaven. Killing a child by abortion is thus a very grave violation of the Fifth Commandment of the Decalogue, made even more detestable by the fact that the victim is innocent, defenseless, and massacred (because we are talking about a massacre) with the consent of the parents, who ought to protect the child with all their strength. Christian society therefore eliminated a widespread crime, demonstrating how respect and protection of life from conception to natural death is an inviolable principle.
Modern society – starting with the French Revolution – has rebelled not only against the doctrinal and moral truths taught by the Magisterium, but after expelling God from society in order to declare itself “secular” and thus intrinsically anticlerical and anti-Christian, it has broken the transcendent bond between the positive law and the natural law. Once the first principle that once informed the laws of peoples and nations ceased to exist, nothing could prohibit individuals and societies from adopting norms contrary to the law of nature, legitimizing abortion and divorce as the free exercise of one’s free will, without any criminal or moral consequence. The system of governance that derives its authority from the consent of the masses rather than from God, to whom all authority belongs – omnis potestas a Deo – should for this reason alone be considered contrary to the bonum commune, because in allowing the exercise of a false conception of freedom and not recognizing the Lordship of Christ over individuals and societies, it actually places itself in opposition to the purpose that legitimizes it.
But as always happens when one acts on behalf of evil, even the proponents of abortion had to somehow make this horrible crime “more palatable,” seeking to justify it by means of scenarios that almost never occur but which are nevertheless morally unacceptable: the case of a woman who is raped, the case of a girl who is seduced by an immoral old man, and all the theoretical cases that are useful for shifting the so-called “Overton window.” Decades of massacres against innocent creatures – in Italy alone more than six million children cry out for justice from Heaven! – have demonstrated that the justifications used in order to legalize abortion were only pretexts, while in reality it pains us see that infanticide is almost always motivated by cynicism, selfishness, and ignorance. Cynicism, due to the indifference with which recourse to the killing of a person for one’s own personal gain becomes acceptable; selfishness, because those who abort decide that their own will prevails over the rights of another human being; ignorance, because hardly any mother knows the torments to which a child is actually subjected in order to rip him or her from the womb and how traumatized she herself will be by the experience.
Cynicism, selfishness, and ignorance are summed up in a lack of moral sense, which is aggravated by the defeatist attitude with which the Catholic Hierarchy faces this execrable crime, almost as if it were forced to do so.
At the time of John Paul II, such an acquiescence would have been unthinkable, because although the Polish Pope was influenced by heterodox philosophies, he was still an implacable and proud champion of the natural law. We ought to recognize that the current ecclesiastical team headed by Jorge Mario Bergoglio goes far beyond the confusion of heresy in the theological sphere and financial and sexual scandals in the moral sphere, reaching the point of making itself the most zealous promoter of the neomalthusian agenda and the so-called “conquests” of modern society such as divorce, abortion, euthanasia, contraception, sodomy and LGBTQ+ ideology, gender theory and the interruption of the hormonal development of minors.
The recent, frantic declarations of the President of the Pontifical Academy for Life, made during a television program have rightly scandalized the faithful as well as non-believers, who ought to be able to look to the Church as a garrison of Good and a beacon of Truth. In Paglia’s words one can sense the banality of evil, the cynical desire not to be a stumbling block, of not wanting to place oneself as a sign of contradiction in a world that has returned to the age of barbarism and paganism, the servile deference of the Bergoglian Sanhedrin to the civil authority, the stolid obsequiousness of those who hope – by pleasing the powerful – to gain their own place in the forming of the New World Order, based on the deluded principles of neomalthusianism that considers the human being as a planetary parasite to be exterminated. Paglia reveals himself as a gray bureaucrat who, exactly as he did for the psychopandemic narrative, does not even try to understand the inconsistency of what he is asked to say and ratify, limiting himself to acritically accepting the new Bergoglian course, the globalist ideology, transhumanism, the Great Reset, the green new deal, and the Agenda 2030. As for Bergoglio and his multicolored caravan, it seems that the rare utterances with a strong media impact against abortion are part of the script to which he must sometimes conform in order not to be seen for what he really is.
It should be said that, like everything promoted by contemporary society, so also the promotion of abortion – which is fraudulently defined as “interruption of pregnancy” or “reproductive health” – is not immune from heavy conflicts of interest, since driving this new market are the economic interests of abortion clinics, phamaceutical companies, research laboratories and cosmetic manufacturers. Thus, in addition to the intrinsic evil of killing a person there is also the unscrupulous and profitable trade in aborted fetuses which are destined to be used to produce drugs, vaccines, and creams. We know, for example, by the very admission of the producers of the so-called vaccines against Covid, that in order to produce the gene serum new abortions are continually provoked in order to “refresh” the original abortive cell lines, which are also the product of abortions. The prostration of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith to the diktats of BigPharma and its emissaries in governments and drug agencies mercilessly reveals the complicit attitude of the Hierarchy, rewarded with sponsorships and funding for providing Pfizer and Moderna with its august testimonial in support of the experimental gene serum.
Celebrating the First World Day Against Abortion today is a courageous choice, because it stands as the antithesis of a horizontal and utilitarian vision of life and the destiny of man. A vision which the highest levels of the Vatican are no strangers to diffusing. They are always afraid of appearing antiquated, always desirous of showing that they are fashionable, even to the point of embracing transhumanism, in which the fusion between man and machine ought to represent, in the delusional minds of its creators, the revenge of man against God, of the creature against the Creator, of the one who is a murderer from the beginning against the Lord of Life.
Your battle is ontologically destined for victory: the culture of death and sin is destined for defeat and for the eternal sentence of condemnation from Christ the Redeemer. But if the victory is certain, your action must be no less determined, and your social and political commitment must be no less courageous. As citizens and members of a community, you have the right and the duty to make the horror of this crime known, its unheard of cruelty, its cynical exploitation for ideological and economic interests. You have the right and the duty to remind mothers as well as fathers that the baby is not an annoying setback, nor is it clump of tissue, nor a producer of carbon dioxide. No, the child is a creature of God, destined to be loved and in turn to love and give glory to his or her Creator, and these helpless little ones deserve at least the chance that was not denied to their own mothers and fathers: to come into the light.
Do not be intimidated by those who accuse you of wanting to overpopulate the planet with “useless eaters” (as they say at Davos), of wanting to force women to become mothers, of wanting to impose your views on those who do not share them! Do not allow yourselves to be deceived by those who object that the right to abortion does not impose the obligation to have one on those who do not want to – this is a sophism, in which the life of a creature is abandoned to the choice of the individual, while the truth is that no one may claim the right to decide whether one’s own child lives or dies. Because that child is not an idea, that child is not a concept that can either be taken into account or ignored. No, he or she is a human being, who will have a name, who will have a life, and relatives, and a future. A person who in Baptism will rediscover friendship with God and will be able to love Him and serve Him in order to share Eternity with Him.
May the Most Holy Virgin, whose Nativity we celebrate today, and whose cousin Elizabeth felt the Baptist leap within her womb when Mary visited her, implore from Heaven the graces necessary for the carrying out of your war against abortion, so that the Nations may understand the horror of this crime and their rulers may outlaw it as soon as possible. The world cannot know peace as long as it continues to immolate its defenseless children to the Moloch of aligned thought.
